Simulations Custom

Media Team

An important element of our simulation learning experiences are the media components. By having actors portray the protagonists in various video segments, we add another dimension to each learning experience. Judgments are made, sometimes based on more than what can be brought across with written text. How are arguments impacted by the person speaking? Does everyone have the same reactions to the same people?

Additionally, having video segments built into our introduction and debrief sessions for each learning experience, allows students to feel closer to an actual classroom experience.

Our media team is made up of two important parts:

The Biz-LX™ Acting Troupe

Megan Randall, Director

RandallMegan Randall moved to Charlottesville to immerse herself in the thriving theatre community (and to run away from the Northern Virginia traffic.) She first stepped on stage at the age of twelve and from that moment on has worked hard to remain there as often as possible. In High School and College she appeared in Brigadoon, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, The Pajama Game, and Anything Goes and various other musicals. Since her arrival in Charlottesville, she has performed in Anna Karenina for Live Arts and, sang classic hits in Play On’s musical revue It’s My Party, played the neurotic “Cookie” in Neil Simon’s Rumors and directed The Fantasticks. When she is not directing, acting or singing on stage, you can find Megan coordinating the MBA for Executive Program at Darden School of Business.

Judy Bazin
