Founder and Group Enterprise Leader

Tony Naidu

TonyTony is the Founder and Group Enterprise Leader of Biz-LX™. Biz-LX™ started as a direct result of Tony using Turning Gears Inc.© in class at Darden while completing his MBA. After using it, he offered his advice on how to maximize the potential of what he was sure could be an outstanding product, especially given the need for increased corporate responsibility in the world today. With the help of great authors, supportive partners, and a strong foundation team, Biz-LX™ is now a reality as a company.

Tony was previously Vice President for Sales and Marketing for Interpretive Simulations. Tony helped Interpretive Simulations become a leading provider of academic simulations. Interpretive hired Tony late in 2003 as part of its efforts to become a leading global simulation provider. To achieve this goal, Tony brokered an exclusive partnership with one of the world’s leading academic publishers, Pearson Publishing. To support the expanding needs of Interpretive, particularly in the area of technology, Tony developed requirements for, and led negotiations with, a software developer in India. Tony oversaw the repackaging of Interpretive’s products to meet the changing expectations of the “virtual world.” In 2006, Tony also secured an exclusive partnership with The Wall Street Journal.

Prior to joining Interpretive, Tony worked for SmartSims International, a New Zealand company he helped found. Under Tony’s stewardship, SmartSims became a top-ranked simulation provider as measured by market share in less than three years. Tony helped establish worldwide distribution partnerships with McGraw-Hill as well as a customer base that, at the time, included schools from Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Tony taught the Mike’s Bikes simulation at The Kelly School of Business at the University of Indiana between 2001 and 2003. Prior to leaving SmartSims, Tony was able to secure a significant infusion of private equity for the company and spearheaded its efforts to establish an office in Boston, Massachusetts.

Tony has proven himself to be a leader in this industry with strong relationships at all levels within the academic market. In addition, Tony has worked personally to provide learning solutions for many corporate clients from around the world.

Tony has been a presenter at many academic conferences including the Ninth Annual Conference on Labour, Employment, and Work, 2000; the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, 2002; Nova Scotia Community College Educational Technology Conference, 2002; Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Annual Meeting, 2004; Rocky Mountain Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) Conference, 2008; Federation of Business Disciplines Annual Meeting, 2009; and in March 2009 was the Association for Business Simulation and Experiential Learning (ABSEL) Annual Meeting Keynote Speaker.

Tony holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Auckland. Tony is married and has four children.
